Temporary Green

What my kids call, "baby grass. . . aw!" is shooting up. Brave little turf. And all I can think of is how much I am craving green. The green of nature pulls so hard at my desire strings this time of year.

Last week's spate of 60 degree weather has spoiled me entirely. I have pulled up to many a gardening center in the past couple of days in the hopes of a futher glimpse of what is to come. But alas, not yet. Not just yet.

And I've been sucker punched by the weather before. You know you have, too. Just when you get real sure of the change of seasons and then a blizzard rolls in with 10 inches of snow on your 30th birthday in the middle of freakin' May.

I truly am not bitter about that one. That was a fabulous birthday but, I did have some sassy shoes that got left in the closet for another occasion. My trusty old Frye's did the trick.

Clothing stymies me around now as well. Is it sandal weather or will I lose a toe to frostbite if I throw caution to the wind and wear flip-flops for the morning drop-off? Down jackets and skirts? Or maybe now is the time when uber-hip Montana Mamas actually wear down miniskirts . I am fascinated by that piece of clothing, but seriously on the fence.

I don't know if color therapy is real and beneficial. But I am going to give it a shot. To feed my eyes, I spent a couple of hours today collecting snapshots to sate the craving. Here you go, some temporary green. The real stuff will be here soon!

See there. It really will be here soon. Hold on!

All my best, Bunnyfufu
