Hello everyone, I hope you had a great week last week. If you went to Evil Days in Butte I hope you had fun, I heard it was a pretty crazy weekend.
Here is what is going on for this week of July 27- August 2.
In Butte America there are quite a few things happening this week. On July 30th there will be the Outdoor Movie will be held at the Original Mine, this will begin at dusk. Visit www.facebook.com/OutdoorMoviesTheOriginal for more information. Also starting July 30th – August 1st is the Butte-Silver Bow County Fair at the Butte Civic Center. The Fair will feature arts, crafts, concessions, open class judging, and 4H livestock and other projects. The 2015 line-up includes a carnival, a concert on Saturday night, Lady Houdini escape artist, Patsy Cline tribute, pony rides Sea Lion Splash with live sea lions, hypnotist, laser tag for kids, and kid zone. The Butte Vigilante NRA Rodeo is also July 31- August 1st. The show begins at 7pm on Friday. The show will include bronc, bull, and bareback riding, barrel racing, calf roping, clowns, food, and music. Tickets are $12 for adults and kids under 12 are free, when they come with an adult.
In Bozeman, starting July 27th through August 8th is Dancing Under the Big Sky. This is a two week Intensive for Elementary - Advanced Students with renowned guest faculty. Students receive daily Ballet, Pointe and Repertory classes, as well as Contemporary/Modern, Pilates, Stretch & Strengthening, Dance History, Nutrition, and Musicality classes. Physical Therapy assessments, enrichment lectures and performing opportunities provide a well-rounded experience. July 29th is lunch on the lawn at 11:30am to 1:30pm. A summertime tradition, Lunch on the Lawn features live music, kids’ activities and local food vendors. Grab your lawn chairs and spend your lunch hour soaking up the sun on the Emerson’s west lawn this summer. Bring your own lunch or purchase lunch onsite from Rendezvous Catering, MoBerry, Mo’Bowls and other vendors. On Thursday July 30th is Music on Main from 6:30 to 8:30pm. The music begins at 7pm and last until 8:30pm.
In Helena there will be the State Capital Band Concert on July 30th at 8pm at the Capital Building. Bring picnics and lawn chairs and enjoy a variety of music.
In Missoula on August 1st is the Big Sky Barbeque Festival. This will benefit for Montana Food Bank showcases the finest barbeque chefs in the state. Craft beer, live music by Zeppo, Three Eared Dog, and Shakewell and raffle prizes are also on tap. This festival will kick off at 4pm at Caras Park.
In Red Lodge on August 1st there is the Festival of Nations which is being held at Red Lodge Lions Park from 10am to 9pm. This festival is celebrating over 50 years, the festival continues to honor the coal-mining town’s roots by paying homage to the diverse ethnic groups that worked and settled the area. The festival begins Friday with an evening performance. Sample ethnic foods while enjoying a variety of cultural activities and performances on Saturday.
