It’s hard to believe one year ago Cora, Shaunescy and I were putting out our first issue of Montana Parent. I liken our journey with that of raising a baby through the first year of life – so much hard work and learning coupled with so much pride and reward. As with a baby’s first year of life, this past year with Montana Parent has flown by in a bit of a blur but fortunately without any of the diaper blowouts.
It’s been such an exciting journey and we have all of our loyal readers, advertisers, writing and photography contributors to thank for their support and continued involvement. Because of you we have been able to grow into the magazine we are today. In the last year Montana Parent magazine has doubled in page size and print distribution from 3000 to 6000 copies; launched a new website featuring a comprehensive event calendar, blog and live online editions of Montana Parent; and our Facebook fans topped 1,000 this summer. ?Don’t expect us to stop there; we are introducing a greener magazine this month using soy based inks and recycled paper stock.
Keep following our Facebook page for event reminders, and look for many more exciting contests on our blog. We foresee the blog getting bigger and better with the introduction of new voices on a wide range of topics.?We are growing up under the Big Sky with you and your family and loving it every step of the way. From Bozeman over the pass to Livingston we are raising a future generation of Montanans and Montana Parent is honored to be a resource in that journey.
