Kids Fishing Day - 2015

The Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club is hosting it's annual Free Kids Fishing Day at East Gallatin Recreation Area on May 16th. Registration starts at 9:00am, fishing from 10-12 Noon with free lunch to follow, plus prizes and giveaways. Fishing is open to all kids ages 1-13. For the little ones, in case they don't catch fish, we'll have a Castle style bounce house on-site.
All kids get goodie bags filled with gear, food & drink, coupons to local kid-friendly businesses, plus if a child does not have their own rod & reel, loaner equipment is available at no cost - courtesy of past sponsors Bob Wards and Sportsman's Warehouse.
The Kid’s Fishing Day event is an initiative of the Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club to spotlight the East Gallatin Recreation Area, encourage families with children to enjoy the sport of fishing and to incentivize the public to become aware of and use this outstanding outdoor community asset.
We expect to attract three hundred kids and their families to the event on Saturday, May 16th. In addition to providing free lunch and beverages for all of the participants and their parents we will be handing out goodie bags to every child and we will be awarding prizes. The prizes will be awarded by age level for most fish caught, biggest fish and a grand prize for the overall largest fish.
