How to Stay Cool with Kids in this Central Valley Heat Wave!

It's been hot. Really, really hot and it's hard to find things for your boundlessly energized children. It didn't get to these temps until July of last year. I went to visit a Montana Parent favorite last night and it truly did the trick!

The Belgrade Splash Park is located behind the Central Valley Fire Department in the Lewis and Clark city park.

The water is really cold and the park can be a bit busy on hot weekend days but it is pure bliss to go to during daytime on weekdays - or anytime after 5:00 pm. At 6:00 pm, I've rarely seen more than two other families winding down their evening on hot and windy summer days.

There is also a partially shaded playground and some great swings to play on as a transition point to keep kids happliy refreshed but not teeth chatteringly cold and wet in the car.

Stay cool! ~Bunnyfufu
