Local car shows are the best!
Filled with nostalgia and candy-apple custom paint, car shows are often hosted on a Saturday or Sunday in your city park or Main Street. These fun family events can be the centerpiece of the weekend and, best of all, many of them are free. Some of my family’s favorites this summer include: The 14th Annual Downtown Livingston Show & Shine Car Show on June 3 is held against the historic backdrop of Second Street in Livingston. On July 1 in Helena ,the 12th Annual Blast from the Past Car Show will be held under the giant shade trees of the Historic Broadwater Grounds. Another classic event is the 47th Annual West Yellowstone Rod Run on August 5 with a delightful parade at 10 a.m. followed by an impressive car show in Pioneer Park.
A local Bozeman favorite continues to be Cruisin’ on Main, hosted downtown on August 20. And be sure to check out the newest hot rod gathering on August 26 and 27 in Anaconda where Lost Creek Raceway will host the First Annual Laid-Back Swap Meet and Car Show.
Grab your sunscreen and head out to one of the many Montana events this summer; your eyes will be filled with eye-popping colors and polished chrome.
