Ahhh . . . Summer! Now, what to do?

Wow! School is out in Belgrade at the end of this week and then next week in Bozeman. And I looked at my calendar to see what I had planned for activities beyond Grandma-fest. Yes, we are attempting the family experiment of having both grandmas come for a visit AT THE SAME TIME!!! Maybe a little nutso, but I opt to think it will be brilliant and we will do it again and again.

But for the rest of the month, outside of Grandma-fest, June is looking a little slim. So I went to the wonderful April issue with the summer camp guide and perused.

I don't know about you, but I am looking for something that really inspires at least one of my kids - I have to get them out from under my feet a little bit this summer as these blogs don't write themselves. But really, the structure of having a class brings so much into the kiddos life during the summer by breaking it up into understandable chunks.

As things slow down a little it's nice to give them a frame of, "Yes, junior. . . the first week after school's out you get to laze around and camp in the tent at night as long as it's not snowing, then you have camp for a week with Ms. Kath, and then we start soccer in July.

They've been so structured by school all year that after breakfast. . . they are seeking some direction.

So here's what I found! And it fits all of my requirements, yay!

Awesome teachers and terrific counselors coach group songs, solos, games and improv each day while they prepare for a final performance on Friday.

Camp is a great blend of structure and fun for creative spirits - after all it's SUMMER CAMP!

And the super double bonus of why this is so great? I just happen to have found out today about a coupon for $35 off for the first camp week! June 24th - 28th with music teacher Heidi Damjanovich from Longfellow and Morning Star schools - looks that much better!

But don't take my word for it, look at the quotes page from the previous students at the Kids Singers Club Webpage.

Wow, I really want to sign monkey man up for a class.
