Are any of you in the same boat? Hosting family for the holidays and making it all merry and bright whilst dealing with flu-y kids and upset bedtimes. No matter how hard you try to be hospitable, it's just not as relaxed as you need it to be.
THEN, all of a sudden, things get cool.
Maybe it's the help you get in the kitchen, or with bath time, or someone takes the smalls out to sled for an hour and you nap. Maybe, like me it's when you set up a computer in front of your Mother in law and she gets to make sure her world at home is right. And you know you've done something good.
All the cooking and decorating mean a lot, but at the end of the day, we all want to be happy and healthy and well. Within our own bubble. If you still have guests, My advice is to give them your laptop and walk away for an hour. They'll be fine. They'll thank you.
