North JeffCo Summer Community Kickoff

Let's all celebrate summer!!! The first annual Community Summer Kickoff will take place on Tues. May 12th from 4-6pm at the Montana City Volunteer Fire Station.
Community organizations will join together in an event to provide information and local opportunities to families and children. The North JeffCo Library District typically throws a Summer Reading Kickoff party attended by hundreds of families from the Jeff City, Clancy, and Montana City area (though we do have families that participate from Helena, East Helena, and a few from near Townsend). This year, based on surveys and discussions with patrons, we plan on doing a kick off summer party that includes as many other organizations that offer summer activities and opportunities to children and families.
Some organizations are planning to have interactive displays or activities at their stations; some will just have educational information about the projects, services, or opportunities they offer. We currently have attendance from Montana Learning Center, MSU-Extension, Exploration Works, YMCA, JeffCo Weeds, JeffCo Solid Waste, 4H, Clancy Days, and other community organizations.
