Montana Learning Center - Summer Learning Camps for Kids

Ages 6-12

The Montana Learning Center is Montana's science camp for kids! The Montana Learning Center is a place for students to come together to solve problems, create and be empowered. Daily camp life includes STEAM immersion experiences, friendship building and recreation. Evening options include a traditional campfire or learning about the night sky. Our new world-class observatory introduces students to the wonders of the cosmos. We’re small and personal. Our camp staff is composed of certified teachers, many of whom are award winning. Our student to instructor/counselor ratio is 1:8 or better. Each of our instructors and counselors are CPR & First Aid certified.

Most camps take place on the shores of Canyon Ferry Lake outside of Helena, Montana. We are in a beautiful area with unique geological and natural features on the edge of the Rocky Mountains. Campers enjoy fishing, kayaking, boating, and swimming at the lake.

Camp Discovery is a four-day, day-only, science camp for students entering grades 1-3. Campers are engaged in fun learning activities and outdoor recreation Monday – Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. They are bussed to the Montana Learning Center from a Helena location.

Camp Young Naturalist Adventures is a five-day, overnight camp for students entering grades 4-6. Students arrive on Sunday afternoon and leave Thursday afternoon. They are engaged in exciting science and all the recreation activities of Montana Learning Center’s unique lakeside location.
