Orphan Girl Children's Theatre
Orphan Girl Children’s Theatre opens its 2019 - 2020 season with Snow White by Chicago Playwright Kathleen Coombs.
Known throughout the kingdom for her beauty, Queen Genevieve rules the kingdom of Alarica with an iron fist and icy heart. Much like the rest of the castle, Princess Snow White has always followed her stepmother’s rules. After all, she is much too sweet and simple to question Genevieve’s demands - or at least that’s what everyone keeps telling her. But when Snow White is awakened to the consequences of her Stepmother’s tyranny, she reveals herself as the ultimate threat to Genevieve’s reign as queen.
This retelling of the classic Grimm fairy tale explores the darkness of jealousy while bringing to light what really makes us beautiful.
Directed by Jackie Freeman, Snow White will run on the Orphan Girl Theatre stage Thursday to Sunday October 17th - 27th.
