March 30, 2019
9:00am - 3:00pm
Museum of the Rockies, 600 W Kagy Blvd, Bozeman
The Museum of the Rockies (MOR) day is back - reinvented as Cub Scout Day! (Girl Scout Day is now a separate event). We have a dynamite line-up of activities. Since we are customizing the day to Cub Scouts, the activities let every Cub Scout complete an elective adventure in addition to going to the planetarium show and enjoying the exhibits. Here is what you need to know:
Date: Saturday, March 30
Time: 9:00 - 3:00 (activity stations stop at 3 pm but you can still enjoy the museum)
Cost for Scouts & Leaders: CHANGE FROM INITIAL INFO
* $7.00 early bird - paid at Scout Office or Roundtable
* $10.00 at the door
A patch for the first 200, and Pizza and water included if you come by 11 am. This activity fee includes entry into the museum and is per scout/leader.
Costs for Non Scouts - Museum Entry Discount:
Family and siblings will get a discounted rate into the museum. We will post this shortly (still waiting on the information).
Nine activity stations will keep your Scouts busy. The activities include a fossil dig, games station, art stations, and even making a necherchief slide. The Elective Adventures your Scout can earn if they want to do all the stations for their Rank are:
Lion: Gizmos and Gadgets
Tiger: Stories in Shapes
Wolf: Digging in the Past
Bear: Make it Move
WEBELOS/AOL: Art Explosion
Belt loops are not included, but Cub Scouts will get a sign-off card to give to their leaders who can order the adventure belt loop.
Any youth, Scout or otherwise, is welcome to participate in the activity stations. This is a great event and works well as a bring-a-friend introduction to Scouting.
