Walk. Talk. Explore. with GVLT's Discovery Walks, family friendly, free, guided walks on the Main Street to the Mountains trail system. Nonprofit partners and volunteer leaders will share their knowledge with you during a casual walk with a group of new friends. New to trails? New to town? Looking for something to do with the kids? May 8 5:30pm Walk with a Mindset/ Health Coach @ Highland Glen Nature Preserve
Jen Brick is a mindset and health coach. She’ll share all her tips and tricks to create self-care habits for a healthy mind and body. Meet at the corner of Ellis and Highland Blvd., across from the Softball Complex.
May 10 9:30am Adaptation Nation Kids Walk with Montana Outdoor Science School @ Regional Park
How does a frog develop gills? Why do falcons have dark stripes near their eyes? Let’s explore how animals and plants are always changing to help them survive! Meet at the Dinosaur Playground parking area.
May 11 10:00am Geomorphology of the East Gallatin River @ East Gallatin Rec. Area
Karin Boyd, water expert and owner of Applied Geomorphology, will share her knowledge and experience with the East Gallatin River and the ways it has shaped our landscape. Meet at the picnic tables next to the bathroom building.
May 13 9:30am Birding Basics Kids Walk with Montana Outdoor Science School @ Cherry River Trail
Grab some binoculars to discover the amazing birds in your own backyard! Do you notice how different their feet are? Why are their feathers shaped that way? Let’s find out! Meet at the parking area and entrance to the trail off of the Frontage Rd.

Did you know that the Gallagator Trail is an old rail line? Rufus Cone will share history on the historic rail line that took passengers from Bozeman to Salesville, now Gallatin Gateway. Meet at the base of Peets Hill on Church Ave.
