You’ll find a lot more than traditional winter staples like potatoes and onions at the winter market. Area farmers have drastically increased the amount of fresh greens and types of vegetables they offer Bozeman citizens throughout the fall, winter & spring. Now entering its’ 10th season, the Bozeman Winter Farmers’ Market has grown from the demand for a direct producer-to-consumer experience beyond the traditional summer market season to a successful, thriving market with a bounty of vegetables and goods.
Why the apostrophe in the name? Because this market was created by farmers, and continues to be operated by farmers, for farmers. Our focus is on food and agricultural products – you’ll find 30 plus vendors each week selling an array of products. In addition to greens and vegetables, during the months of September through May, you can find grassfed meats, cow & goat cheese, farm fresh eggs, fresh pasta, apples, mushrooms, Alaskan caught salmon, fermented vegetables, honey, artisan breads & baked goods (gluten-free too!), spices, syrups, jams & preserves, grains & oils, yarn, wool, beeswax candles, locally grown and blended teas, soaps & salves, ethically sourced coffee, hot breakfast, live music and much more, all under one roof at the Emerson Center in downtown Bozeman, every other Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Each market is hosted in the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture’s Ballroom in Downtown Bozeman from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
